The Tin Man was singing Irish tunes in the corner. It's the Saturday before Halloween and we needed dinner before we went .4 miles down the road to Haunt! The Tavern was somewhat bustling at 4:30pm. My 3 year old became intrigued by the Tin Man in the corner band. They were just sitting at a table with microphones set up. An odd trio. A very old Irishman on guitar, a very young guy playing a mini accordion and the Tin man ready for a Halloween party playing a Mandolin. They played straight through our meal, the Tin Man sometimes doing vocals. He might need a heart but he has a voice! The food: Kids had pizza- looked delicious! Sweet sauce. Heave on sauce and cheese. I did like it, but I did really enjoy the crust. Not too crisphy but had a little of that sweet sauce for some nice bites. Buffalo wings- only complaint. They don't have the good blue cheese. Fried chicken Sandwich- Massive piece of chicken! The garlic aioli needed more flavor. The fries are very tasty! Irish poutine- My husband said it was really good! Little place, nice people working. Quick service. Live Music. Good Food. Can't go wrong at the end of the world.
We had a great experience and meal at The Tavern at the End of the World. We were warmly welcomed. We shared a smoked salmon BLT sandwich with truffle oil fries that was fantastic! It was filling enough for the two of us, but would be a satisfying meal for one with good appetite. The barkeep was pleasant. The manager stopped by to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. I would recommend a visit to this small pub if in the area.
Great fish & chips at a decent price, but the veggie burger was not good. The patty was sweet and mushy. Real working class Irish pub vibe. I enjoyed it. However, some of the better beers are crazy expensive, which is odd given the fact that it's otherwise a down to earth pub.
After a long day helping my daughter n her friends move, I needed a drink. The margarita was nice n strong! Apparently i accidentally deleted the photos of the cocktails the food We had pizza, n several cocktails. Great neighborhood place.
